So last week I went miserably. My predictions were shot, with only backing the correct winner in just one out of the four games. However, because I’m persistent, or just really freaking stubborn, I am back for another round of guessing what the results will be this weekend. Wish me luck. I will probably need it.
Adelaide United v Perth Glory||
Friday 10th November 5.30pm || On SBS Viceland and Fox Sports
Unfortunately for Adelaide, this game is coming too soon. A fully fledged, inform Adelaide team could perhaps provide an obstacle to the fast track path Glory look to be on towards the Premiership. However this Adelaide side has only had one game to settle, and with some of their key players being internationals, who will likely need some more time to gel with the side, this game is just too soon.
Meanwhile Perth are storming through this early season. This game will be another episode of the Kerr and Hill Show. Legit, they are unstoppable right now.
Prediction: Adelaide United 1 – 4 Perth Glory
Western Sydney Wanderers v Brisbane Roar||
Friday 10th November 7.30pm
Whilst the Wanderers are coming off a narrow win, I still think that the Roar are coming into this game on form. It was only the last half an hour against Perth that Brisbane really waned, and really any team at the moment would look inferior to Perth. Both sides have some entertaining players, and if the game is played through the middle of the park, it will be a very even battle.
I’m going to say that Roar have the edge her, especially if they have the explosive pace upfront of Hayley Raso
Prediction: Western Sydney Wanderers 0 – 2 Brisbane Roar
Canberra United v Sydney FC||
Sunday 12th November 4.30pm
Difficult game to pick between these two sides. Both will be wanting to get their first points of the season on the board. Equally both sides have a mixture of experienced players and youngsters that they will be looking to for something special and to get the win.
Last weekend I went with my heart for Sydney FC’s game (like a fool), and predicted the completely wrong scoreline. So this week I’m going with a more balanced approach, with my head saying this will be a rollercoaster game, that ends up with both teams heart broken because of a deadlocked score.
Prediction: Canberra United 2 – 2 Sydney FC
Melbourne City v Newcastle Jets||
Sunday 12th November 4.30pm || On SBS Viceland and Fox Sports
I never thought I would get to say this, but Newcastle Jets are inform mate. They seem to have their midfield ticking along, which means their team as a whole is too. The winner of this game will be whoever controls the midfield. Will it be Jess Fishlock or Emily Van Egmond? Who knows, but whoever does win that battle, will likely win the game for their side.
This will be the first real test for this new looking Jets side, and I’m going to back that they will succeed.
Prediction: Melbourne City 0 – 1 Newcastle Jets
